How To Adjust Screen Brightness Windows 7

Picture of How To Adjust Screen Brightness Windows 7

Hi. I had problems with the auto-brightness feature in Windows 8.1 not switching off, so I sent my tablet in to the Samsung repair shop. They had my tablet for 3 weeks, and re-imaged my harddrive (wiping off all my programs in the process). The brightness adjusted fine when I got it back, running on Windows 8. Then I updated my operating system to Windows 8.1 and installed all the windows updates, but after doing that I was not able to adjust my screen brightness anymore.

I have just disabled the power-saving feature on the Intel graphics driver and it seems as if that has stopped 'adaptive brightness', but I still cannot adjust the brightness manually. I am using the keyboard shortcut, and all of the suggested methods in Power Options.

The key intent of contemporary personal computer display savers is leisure and at times even, safety. Having said that, they had been to begin with designed to avert phosphor burn-in on plasma computer displays in addition as CRT devices. Display savers assisted to avoid these adverse results by mechanically altering the images once the laptop was not getting used.

Let me inform you of a mind maximizing strategy I'd stumbled upon just after loading an incredibly big range of pictures into My Pictures file, which was quickly hooked, probably like your laptop established up, to my screen saver plan. Right after sitting down and watching it one day, I pointed out how it spurred on my mind and improved my spatial reasoning before developing classes. It actually aided and i was amazed.

I have a HP Spectre x360 - 13-4009na  and have just upgraded to Windows 10. The problem is I cannot alter the screen brightness using any of the usual methods. - The fn buttons do not work - There is no brightness control displayed on the Control panel - Power Options - The Calibrate Display Colour method fails with an error while "... preparing to calibrate ..." - "Unspecified error". So my display is set to high brightness and I cannot change it. Please can someone help? Thanks, Paul.
